Ingredients

  • 48 Ritz Crackers
  • 8 thin slices of deli ham
  • 8 thin slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Set your oven to 350°F. While it’s heating up, get ready to assemble the easiest appetizer ever..
  • Place half of your Ritz crackers (24, to be exact) on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Take your slices of Swiss cheese, tear them into cracker-sized pieces, and place one on top of each cracker.
  • Do the same with the ham—just tear it to fit the cracker (or use 1 1/2-inch round cookie cutter) and stack it right on top of the cheese.
  • Pop another Ritz cracker on top of each ham-and-cheese stack to make little sandwiches.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and poppy seeds. This is where the flavor really comes to life!
  • Using a spoon, drizzle that heavenly butter mixture over the top of each cracker sandwich. Make sure every little sandwich gets its fair share of flavor.
  • Pop the tray in the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is all melty and the crackers are a beautiful golden color.
  • Once they’re out of the oven, you’ll want to dive in right away while they’re still warm and crispy.

Notes

Switch up the cheese! Don’t be afraid to play around with different cheeses. Cheddar or pepper jack could add a fun twist!
Not a Dijon fan? No problem! Regular yellow mustard works just fine if you want a milder flavor.
Budget-friendly hack: Store-brand crackers work just as well. No need to break the bank!
