Ingredients
8ozcream cheese250ml/1 cup/1 block
1 14ozcan sweetened condensed milk
1 ½teaspoonpeppermint extract
½teaspoonvanilla extract
1cupCool Whip250ml/8oz
½cupcrushed candy canes4 large candy canes, plus extra for garnish
Instructions
In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until well blended and volume slightly increases (4 minutes). You can use a stand mixer, but I used a hand mixer.
Add the extracts and mix together for another 10-20 seconds.
Gently fold in the Cool Whip and candy cane pieces, turning the bowl while you do so.
Transfer to a serving bowl, top with additional candy cane pieces, and serve.

If you want to make it look festive you can add a few drops of red food coloring to give it an overall red color with the candy cane pieces.
If you want to ensure your candy cane pieces are not chewy you may want to add them right before serving.
You can use any kind of candy canes as long as they have a peppermint flavor. store your leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
