Ingredients

For the Baileys Chocolate Mousse:

  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate melted and slightly cooled

For the Whipped Cream Layer:

  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Assembly:

  • 1 package chocolate brownies cut into small cubes (about 4 cups)
  • 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings or chocolate curls for garnish
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Baileys Chocolate Mousse: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the melted chocolate and Baileys Irish Cream, blending until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. Set aside.
  • Make the Whipped Cream Layer: In a separate bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until medium peaks form. Set aside.
  • Layer the Trifle: In a large trifle bowl or individual serving glasses, start by placing a layer of brownie cubes on the bottom. Drizzle a little Baileys Irish Cream over the brownies for added flavor.
  • Add the Mousse and Cream Layers: Spoon a layer of Baileys chocolate mousse over the brownies, followed by a layer of whipped cream. Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the bowl or glasses, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
  • Garnish and Serve: Top with chocolate shavings, chocolate curls, or chocolate chips for a beautiful finish. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

No bake. Can also be assembled in small individual serving dishes.
