Ingredients
For the Baileys Chocolate Mousse:
1cupheavy creamchilled
1/2cupBaileys Irish Cream
8ouncessemi-sweet chocolatemelted and slightly cooled
For the Whipped Cream Layer:
1cupheavy creamchilled
2tablespoonspowdered sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
For Assembly:
1package chocolate browniescut into small cubes (about 4 cups)
1/4cupBaileys Irish Creamfor drizzling
1/4cupchocolate shavings or chocolate curlsfor garnish
1/4cupchocolate chipsoptional
Instructions
Prepare the Baileys Chocolate Mousse: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the melted chocolate and Baileys Irish Cream, blending until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. Set aside.
Make the Whipped Cream Layer: In a separate bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until medium peaks form. Set aside.
Layer the Trifle: In a large trifle bowl or individual serving glasses, start by placing a layer of brownie cubes on the bottom. Drizzle a little Baileys Irish Cream over the brownies for added flavor.
Add the Mousse and Cream Layers: Spoon a layer of Baileys chocolate mousse over the brownies, followed by a layer of whipped cream. Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the bowl or glasses, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
Garnish and Serve: Top with chocolate shavings, chocolate curls, or chocolate chips for a beautiful finish. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
