Overnight Egg & Sausage Casserole

Ingredients

Crust:

  • 16 slices bread crusts removed
  • 2 4- ounce jars sharp cheddar cheese spread
  • 1 stick butter softened

Egg Mixture:

  • beaten eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Small can slice mushroom pieces
  • 1 cup diced ham or cooked sausage
  • ½ cup shredded mild cheddar cheese or a cheese mixture

Instructions

  • Generously butter an 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Trim edges off each slice of bread. Discard bread crusts.
  • Mix together butter and cheddar cheese spread. Coat both sides of bread and place in the prepared baking dish. Set aside.
  • Mix together all the egg mixture ingredients and pour over the top of the bread.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Notes

If using a glass 13x9-inch pan, take out 30 minutes before baking and start baking in cold oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
