Overnight Egg & Sausage Casserole

Ingredients
Crust:
- 16 slices bread crusts removed
- 2 4- ounce jars sharp cheddar cheese spread
- 1 stick butter softened
Egg Mixture:
- beaten eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 Small can slice mushroom pieces
- 1 cup diced ham or cooked sausage
- ½ cup shredded mild cheddar cheese or a cheese mixture
Instructions
- Generously butter an 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Trim edges off each slice of bread. Discard bread crusts.
- Mix together butter and cheddar cheese spread. Coat both sides of bread and place in the prepared baking dish. Set aside.
- Mix together all the egg mixture ingredients and pour over the top of the bread.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Notes
If using a glass 13x9-inch pan, take out 30 minutes before baking and start baking in cold oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
