Ingredients

  • ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons water
  • ¼ cup amaretto liqueur
  • 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 16 ounces white chocolate chopped
  • 4 cups cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cherry extract
  • 12 tulip-shaped chocolate cups
  • Garnish: white chocolate shavings maraschino cherries

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, add ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons water, liqueur, and gelatin; whisk to combine.
  • Bring mixture just to a boil over medium heat; remove from heat, add white chocolate, and whisk until smooth. Set aside to let cool.
  • Using a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat cream cheese at medium-high speed until smooth, about 3 minutes.
  • Add cream, confectioners’ sugar, and cherry extract; beat until combined.
  • Add cooled white chocolate mixture, and beat until combined.
  • Spoon into a pastry bag fitted with a round piping tip; pipe into chocolate cups.
  • Garnish with white chocolate shavings and maraschino cherries, if desired.

Notes

Although pretty expensive, the tulip-shaped chocolate cups can be purchased on-line from Gourmet Food Store and Webstaurant Store. Great for a special occasion.
