Cheese Munchers

Ingredients

  • 1 6- ounce Nestle Butterscotch Morsels (about 1 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons butter room temperature
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 8- ounce package cream cheese softened
  • ΒΌ cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare 9-inch square pan.
  • Combine over hot (not boiling) water, butterscotch morsels and butter.
  • Heat until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in graham cracker crumbs and nuts with a fork until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup crumb mixture for topping.
  • Press mixture into a 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar. Beat until creamy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in flour and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Pour evenly over hot baked crust. Sprinkle top with reserved crumb mixture.
  • Bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Cut into 2 1/4 -inch by 1-inch bars. Refrigerate any leftover cookies.
